At the Executive + Scholar Lecture Series, an industry leader and a research scholar are brought together to discuss a topic which they share a common passion or interest for. The series addresses two of the center’s goals: objective sharing of information and professional development of students.
Through the Executive + Scholar Lecture series, students are able to gain valuable insight into the digital retailing industry, listen to career advice from top-level executives, and leave feeling inspired and empowered to become the next generation of future retail leaders. The lecture series is held in the fall on the UNT campus.
Our October 18, 2018 lecture featured a conversation with Phill Oaks, Group General Manager and Oﬃcer at Walmart Global eCommerce, Jet, Moosejaw, & Hayneedle. He was joined by Dr. Judith Forney, Research Director of the Global Digital Retailing Research Center and an expert and academic thought leader, who focuses her research in the areas of consumer experience and the customer purchasing journey.
