Did you know the largest clothes closet in North Texas is right here on the UNT campus?  Members of the National Retail Federation Student Association enjoyed a private, insider’s tour on a field trip for their last meeting of the semester at the Texas Fashion Collection. Those attending explored over 20,000 pieces of designer apparel dating back to the 1700’s. The collection includes everything from lingerie to bridal gowns, along with 2,500 hats, 750 handbags and 1,400 pairs of shoes.

Curator and Director Annette Becker shared fascinating stories of famous donors and fabulous high fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen, that are part of this unique historical collection. Read more about the collection in a recent cover story feature in D Magazine.
