There's a Retail Renaissance: A Case Study of Retail Education Reimagined

Journal for Advancement of Marketing Education Linda Mihalick

Dr. Dee Knight, Dr. Judith Forney who is our Research Center Director and myself Linda Mihalick worked together over the past year on a scholarly article which was recently published in the Journal for Advancement of Marketing Education (JAME), addressing the need to adapt for digital in our academic curriculums. 

The purpose of our work was to highlight that not only has technology and digital disrupted the retail industry, it has also done the same in academic teaching. A deep understanding is needed by faculty in order to prepare students for these in-demand 21st century careers. UNT is uniquely positioned with our Digital Retailing and Consumer Experience Management degree programs, boasting well-above average job placement rates upon graduation.
