Consumer Experience Management Featured at UNT’s Star’s Shine Brighter Event in Frisco

Linda Mihalick featured guest speaker at The Star Dallas Cowboys

I was honored to be selected by our President Neal Smatresk to represent our Consumer Experience Management program at the Stars Shine Brighter event Monday evening at the glittering space, The Star in Frisco, which of course is the home of the Dallas Cowboys

My presentation was a topic that is on the minds and agendas of every consumer business, whether it be retail, hospitality or tourism.  Physical spaces are rapidly being disrupted, and this is causing the need to re-imagine the shopping experience. Consumers expect, in fact, demand a frictionless experience with the businesses where they choose to spend their money. Businesses who ‘get’ this and are investing in adapting their physical spaces include Urban Outfitters, which has installed a rooftop bar at their Manhattan location; West Elm which offers products for sale in hotel experiences; Warby Parker, has installed Instagram photo backgrounds in their stores to encourage sharing; and the experiential playground set up by Samsung in New York.

Job opportunities are endless and there is high demand for students who have interest in contributing to this new economy, with well-paying roles such as Consumer Experience Insights Analyst, Customer Experience Manager, Global Insights Director, SEO Manager and eCommerce Marketing Director.
