Our annual Scholarship Ceremony highlights our deserving students and show-cases industry and individual benefactors who generously support our programs.  This year’s event was held April 30 on campus, where students, faculty, parents and industry donors all gathered in the Gateway Center to enjoy the celebration and achievements. It was exciting as over $110,00 in scholarships were awarded to more than 75 student applicants across degree programs in Merchandising, Digital Retailing, Hospitality and Tourism.

Merchandising and Digital Retailing scholarships included those from The Apparel Group, Fossil, Nordstrom, Global Views, Pier 1 and JCPenney.  Awards from some of our Hospitality industry supporters included Ben E. Keith, Spring Creek Barbeque, Gaylord Texas, J.W. Marriott, TGI Fridays and Banfi Vintners. Family and private scholarships included the Jamie Regan Endowed Scholarship and the R.L. Cartwright Memorial Scholarship. A special new scholarship was announced honoring the legacy of the longest serving dean at UNT, Dr. Judith Forney.
